Wild Card # 18

Wow...number 18. This card is called thanks...obviously I went for something different. Contrary to what I said in my last post...it does stand? Go figure. I like how it turned out.
Recipe:
  • black patterned paper was Imaginisce(to love and cherish)Diana
  • black Bazzill swiss dot
  • blue paper Scrapabilities(came with an old scrapbook) and white cardstock
  • black shiny paper from Dat's
  • ribbon from same line Imaginisce
  • Basic Grey black rhinestones
  • Stampin up black ink
  • black stickles
  • sentiments inside and out CC designs
  • cartridges used were:Wild Card, Jubilee(font) and Billionaire Lite cart(car)
I'm happy with it and I got to play with the new cartridge Donna picked up for me...Hee Hee.(thanks) Although this challenge is taking longer than I expected, I'm having a good time adding to my card stash. See you soon and thanks for looking.

Wild Card # 17

And another ones down...Wild Card # 17. This card is called circle...a name that makes sense. It turned out cute.

Recipe:I used 3 cartridges for this card, Wild Card, Doodlecharms for the ladybug and DonJuan for the antennae. Black stickles, Bo bunny ribbon, Bella Bling and the sentiment on the inside is a sticker from Stampendous. The paper for this card was a rose coloured Bazzill and Basic Grey's Lemonade. I even used my cricut markers(pink) to outline the "oh happy day" sentiment. This card actually stands...the next card in the series does not. The ones that don't stand drive me nuts! This card already has a home. It's for Tanis' other daughter(ladybug lover) for her birthday. Wow, I have cards made for next years b-days already...Yeh!

Wild Card #16

Wild Card # 16(Yeah baby!)
This card is called TWEETY, I canned tweety. I think this one turned out cute. You have to see the card closer to see the sentiment, but I like it.
Recipe:Olive swiss dot Bazzill, Generic cardstock in white, yellow and olive green and Basic grey Obscure line for the pear paper.
Sentiment stamp was CTMH(say it with style) and ink was olive from CTMH. I just used a generic little alphabet stamp set on the inside. Olive ribbon from my stash, cinnamon stickles and olive Bella bling finnished this one off. EKSuccess corner punches in and out.I used the cricut cartridge Home Accents for the pear cut. Cute eh?

Wild Card # 15

#15, Wow can you believe it? This card is a neat idea, it's like a decorated gift card holder. There's even a tab to hold the front flap down...I didn't use that...I don't do tabs...I like velcro. I didn't put a sentiment inside, because I thought I could add that later...depending on what I want them to enjoy? I think this card was a good one to have on Wild Card. Recipe:
Orange Bazzill, Bo Bunny Popsicle line, Bo Bunny ribbon, button and flower, white Bella bling. The stamp was CTMH(say it in style) and the ink was CTMH cranberry. I used the obvious Wild card Cartridge along with Cherry Limeade(popsicle), and George for the rectangle and shadow that I stamped on. So...Donna...I think this one may match?

Wild Card#14

Lucky number 14 is done. This card is called triangle, which I know is obvious, but I had to go downstairs to check before posting this. Remember, they had a card called leaf, it was not shaped like a leaf...Anyways down to business...
Card recipe:2 colours of teal Bazzill Bling cardstock, Bubble paper from Imaginese's "It's a Shore Thing" line, various scraps of glitter paper and cardstock for the fish and coral, diamond and black Stickles, Diamond glaze to make more bubbles, Kraftin Kimmies sentiment and Twilight ink from CTMH. I used Martha Stewart border punch called double loop on the inside. The fish, coral and seaweed cuts came from Lifes a Beach cartridge. I think this card is going to one of Tanis' daughters. What little girl doesn't like a little glitter?

WILD CARD # 13

This card is called tied up...I didn't tie it up...Oh well. Another card down in my wild card summer saga. I used core'dinations cardstock in green, red and yellow. The patterned paper is strawberryfields by Cosmo Cricket. All available at your favourite store Dat's. The red ribbon was from my stash. The EKsuccess corner punch, flower punch and a 2" and 2 1/4" square puch were used. The stamped sentiment is from CC designs and the ink was cranberry from CTMH. The cartridge Cherry Limeade was used to make the flower. Instead of tying this card up, I used a dot of velcro to hold it together. This was another card I didn't like, but I liked the outcome. Cute and fresh!
(the red ribbon doesn't really match, I liked how it popped...Donna don't look too close at the ribbon...move away from the ribbon...)

Wild Card #12...WoooHooo! This card is called leaf...I know there is no leaf on the card, but as you recall I planned to do each card my way. I didn't feel the leaf. Anyways, this card was made entirely with scraps and therefore I have no idea what the flowered paper is. I used purple bazzill bling for the base and a purple and white glitter paper for accents. The stamp is from CTMH (birthday). Ink is petal from CTMH. The other sentment is CC design. The purple flower brads are Doodlebug easter line. Purple and pink Basic Grey rhinestones and lavender Stickles. Punches: Martha Stewart border punch, tag punch, Eksuccess corner punch and an ancient little flower punch. I finnished it off with a little white satin bow. I think it's girly and glittery. Just enough shine for a little girl...or maybe a big one.

Another neat shape to decorate. This card is called swoop. I made a travel themed Thank you card for the teacher that chaperoned my daughter's Europe trip. Recipe: rust and brown Bazzill, DCWV travel stack, Kraftin Kimmie Sentiments, CTMH cocoa ink and brown bag, brown ribbon from my stash, and a metal accent. I used the eylet border punch from Stampin Up. The cuttlebug embossing folder polka dot was used on the front of this one. I used a second cartrige on this card too...Going places for the suitcase.I think it's cute, but it has it's challenges standing up. It was neat to use the border punch on a curve, I think it turned out great, a technique I'll have to try again.

Another one bites the dust! This is called birthday, and I think it has a neat shape. I used the cartridge Home Decor this time, along Wild Card. The paper used was DCWV pet stack and chocolate and blue Bazzill. The sentiments were Kraftin Kimmie. I used CTMH cocoa ink, diamond stickles, bella bling and a little flower that came in a set from Dats. Finished the inside with a really small flower punch.(from the old days)

Thursday, July 15, 2010

Finally, Wild Card #8 oval completed. I used hot pink, mustard and brown Bazzill cardstock along with DCWV Blossums and Butterflies paper. Sentiments were from Kraftin Kimmie. Ink was CTMH cocoa. Cartridges were Graphically Speaking(butterfly), George (rectangle) and Wild Card. I finnished this one up with Basic Grey pink rhinestones. On the inside I used a really old butterfly punch. Kinda cute.

This is Wild Card#5(tri-fold).This one doesn't turn my crank.
As you can see I zig zagged around the front of this one.
Recipe:Basic Grey Granola paper and stickers, Bella Bling,
Sentiment stamps are CTMH and CC. Inks used were
Terra cotta and Cocoa from CTMH. I also pulled out the
cuttlebug to emboss the fern with the mosaic folder. I
think this one is kinda boring.
Anyways another one down.

This is Wild Card #4.(stitched) As you can see there are no stitched elements...Oh well I did emboss the bottom of the card with my Cuttlebug and Bloom dot embossing folder. This is #2. This was my version of the Argyle card from the Wild Card cartridge. Recipe: paper=core'dinations cardstock, We R memory keepers Vintage blue, stamps=CC sentiments, CTMH ,ink CTMH twilight, diamond stickles and bo bunny ribbon. I also used the Christmas Cheer cartridge for the gift, and my cuttlebug and polka dot foder to emboss.

I am attempting to make each and every card from the Wild Card cartridge. Hard to do as I don't necessarily like every card in it. So...I am making them all with my little Lee-Ann spin. This was card # 1 called scallop. I think it turned out cute. It's a gate fold card so I wasn't sure how to photograph it best. Recipe:paper was scenic route(laurel collection), and core'dinations cardstock, stamps were Kraftin Kimmie sentiments, ink was CTMH(hollyhock, autumn terracotta), waxy flax CTMH,diamond stickles and lastly some old buttons from my quilting days.
