Crafty Playtime's Sketch challenge

****I  have 2 posts today...pan up to check out the My Creative Time post****

The challenge this week at Crafty playtime is to use a sketch to base your project on...I used a sketch from  Mojo Mondays-#286. Click HERE to check out their sketches...here's a pic of it...

I love using sketches...it makes for a super fast card. The neat thing about sketches is that you don't have to use it literally...you can just use the idea. I used the square sketch...kept with the star idea...added 2 borders instead of one...and I added a super cute cat...what's not to like? Love how it turned out. Thanks for stopping by...Lee-Ann :) Click HERE to check out the other DT projects and to maybe play along and link up your own project!! Pan down to check out the products that I used.

Made in Minutes Monday at My Creative Time

****It's Made in Minutes Monday at My Creative Time****
I'm not a quick card maker...I like to place items...walk away...come back...think about it a while. Then stick it all down. Made in minutes is not my thing...that being said...this card took me 14 minutes. Keep in mind that I had all the dies that I planned to use, and all the paper pre chosen. I was actually going to have this be a CAS card...but I cut the chevrons crooked...so then I  had to alter my card...I cut the chevrons into a strip and reapplied  it to the card base. I think it turned out not bad...I'm not sure that I would've left the sentiment in white embossing..I think I would've changed it...but alas...that would take more time. I do have to say that I'm lovin these Chevron dies!!! Thanks for stopping by...Lee-Ann :)
