Thrifty Thursday at My Creative Time

Today is Thrifty Thursday at My Creative Time. The goal is to re-use, re-purpose and clean out your scraps. I chose to re-purpose a store bag from David's Tea...I love the colours and thought I'd go all white on that pretty background. This is the project that I SHOULD have used for made in minutes...took only 10 minutes...yeah!!! I have a drawer that I keep only white, black and kraft scraps in...I try to go there first...but it doesn't always happen. Try me Tuesday @ My Creative Time

Today at My Creative Time we are debuting "Try Me Tuesday". The idea is to push the DT out of their comfort zone...and maybe try new things. This week it's "dry embossing". I do dry emboss...have a million embossing folders...but I forget about them. Love the texture they give a project. This card is for my Hubby for Valentine's Day. Love how it turned out. My Creative Time-Made in minutes

Today is made in minutes day at My Creative Time...click HERE to check out  the other DT projects. The idea is to showcase an easy project that can be made in minutes. My card took 20 minutes...that being said...my ATG ran out, lost my pop dots, lost a die that I had to use again. The tape that I chose to use kept sticking to my nails...ripped the paper...etc. It was a disaster...apparently...I don't work well under pressure. The little blackboard sentiment I had pre-made. I stamped all the stamps in the "It's all about you stamp set" and embossed them a couple weeks ago. I have been using this stamp set to make a set of cards. I thought...what the heck, I'll use that on my card...is that cheating? I will say, when I need to make a quick project, I use a sketch. This card Sketch is from Mojo Mondays #243. Birthday Wishes!!

Card #5 in my My Creative Time card series. I'm lovin' the stamp set "It's all about you"...It's really perfect to for making a card set. So many different sentiments. I love the colors on this one, definitely a pretty combo. I'm also really lovin the Fun stitched edge dies...so much easier than an edge punch. The Challenge this week at My Creative Time is to use a sketch...Click HERE to check it out on the My Creative Time blog...and while you're there check out the other DT projects. I decided to use this sketch to add to the calendar that I'm making for my parents.My Daughter is still away at school...I will be adding the pic of her and my Son when she comes home for reading week in February. I'm thinking a black and white pic. I'll use the 4x6" journal die from MCT to cut the pic and slide it in where the kraft one is placed. Again...I used a bunch of awesome MCT products to make this LO. The list of products and other supplies are listed in the Recipe. I also used my DT sis Katie's idea on how to layer dies...love it!! Today we are making tags at My Creative Time...click HERE to check out the other DT projects. I used the 3x4" journal die to make 2 tags to add on my kids Valentine's Day presents. This is not my idea...I've seen my other DT sisters and our intrepid leader Emma do this too. Love how they turned out. I used the hexi background stamp...love that stamp. I pulled in patterned papers using the matching hexi dies...fab! I used one of my favs...the Stitched button dies. I made my own heart buttons by cutting one button out of patterned paper and one cut out of heavy cardboard, glued them together and added Glossy Accents on top...perfect matching buttons...I also used other products listed below.
