I'd Rather be at the Tiki Bar

Hi everyone...do you find guy cards hard to make? I do...no glitter or pink-oh no!!!!! I find that if you stick to non busy designs-and even if you just use card stock for your design, that it lends to a more masculine look...adding inking for definition and layers for texture are your best bet...I used all Basis card stock for this design(it's on SALE right now at the CutCardStock store)...with the exception of a little Neenah Desert Storm for the beach. Love how it turned out...Thanks for stopping by... Lee-Ann Kubinec :)

 TUTORIAL

-First choose your dies...mine are all from Jaded Blossom...I LOVE to lay them all out with the sentiment to choose my card layout

-Next choose your paper...mine is all Basis card stock from CutCardStock.com...with the exception of the Neenah Desert Storm that I used for the beach(also from CutCardStock.com)

Next I scored my basis white card stock into a Vertical fold A2 card base and cut all my coloured Basis card stock pieces with my Jaded Blossom dies and my Vagabond die cutting machine. I then layed out all my pieces and checked my ink swatch sheets to choose my inking colors and the colour that I will colour my glasses with...

-Inks and marker choosen I now ink the edges of my die cuts to add definition...and colour my glasses with my Spectrum Noir marker and then ink my glass edges...

-All pieces are inked...I like to ink on top of a craft sheet to save the mess...then I glued down my sky, waves, beach and sun to my card base...

-I then use my MISTI to stamp my sentiment...I don't want to mess that up after all my die cutting an inking...

-Sentiment stamped all nice and straight...

-I then add the rest of my die cuts and add glossy accents to my glasses to add a little sparkle and dimension...I'm all done...
