About Me

My Photo
I am a retired nurse and at home mom to my 2 beautiful kids Chelsea and Jake. Although my daughter is now going into fourth year University away from home...she's still with us in the summers. My son will be going into third year at our local University this fall. I find that I have lots of time to scrap and make cards. Lovin' it!

Challenge # 15 at Silhouette Challenges Print N Cut

It's the time for another challenge over at
Ch# 15 Print N Cut
Begins: Tuesday, July 1
Ends: Thursday, July 31
A blog dedicated to the Silhouette Cutting Machines.
You MUST use a Silhouette somehow in your project.
Sponsor this month is:
Silhouette Printable Cotton Canvas
Here's the Print and cut creation that I came up with using #58730 Spring Bouquet from Amy Robison. I shadowed my Print N Cut and welded the base...love how it turned out. I used a Signo white gel pen to faux stitch around my base and Prima Sugar dots to doll up my Printed design. The mini tag and sentiment is from My Creative Time(Teeny Tags and greetings)I stamped the sentiment with Onyx Black Versafine ink on Neenah solar white card stock. I printed my design on American Crafts white card stock...love the texture. The button is from American Crafts and the twine is from MME(charmed).
Head in over to see what the DT has created for you inspiration and link up today.

Thrifty Thursday at My Creative Time

It's Thrifty Thursday at My Creative Time...I reached into my "cuts that don't work" bucket and came up with this card.

The sentiment in the chalkboard look was also pre-made...along with the card base...I believe it was a Cricut cut that I cut the wrong size...I found it in my card base scrap drawer. The bees were coloured for a card I made during release week...but they didn't match. As a result...can't remember the copic colours that I used...or the names of the patterned papers. The embossed circle was the leftover cut from the card I made on July 3rd...it's good to save those cuts :) Thanks for stopping by my happy place...click HERE to check out the other DT projects and pan down to see the products that I used on this one. Lee-Ann :)

Try Me Tuesday at My Creative Time

It's Try Me Tuesday at My Creative Time. This week the "Try Me part" is a slide puzzle card. There will be a video link at the MCT blog to show you this technique. Basically you stamp a piece of white card stock with either Versafine or White ink and heat emboss it. Then you apply your chosen colours of ink over the embossing. Then you cut up the rectangle into pieces and apply them back to the card front...making sure that you've moved the pieces around to get a random look. I LOVE how this looks. I chose to use Distress inks and I love the bright colours. Thanks for stopping by...Lee-Ann :)
