You are Amazing!!!

Have you ever seen a new technique that you just knew would be FABULOUS? That's how I felt when I laid eyes on this glorious gold glitter paper from Cut Card Stock...I thought hey-wouldn't it look amazing with the new Distress Oxide inks? Then when my Distress Oxide ink background was complete...I thought-Stardream metallic Antique gold...it is GORGEOUS!!!! Thanks for stopping by...Lee-Ann :)

I first chose my products...Distress oxide inks, mini blenders, acetate, Distress water color card stock and Gold glitter paper...

I started by applying my chosen Distress Oxide inks with Mini Ink Blenders to the surface of the Water Color Card stock...it doesn't have to be perfectly blended...just get it on there...

Then spray your paper with a Distress Sprayer and use your heat gun to dry it...this causes the oxidation...

Now apply one of your ink colors to your acetate...then add water...then take this acetate and tap the ink over the surface of your background...this is called Smooshing...easy peasy. Spray your background with water droplets alternating drying with a heat gun...keep doing this back and forth until you get a background that you love...

Once you are happy with your background use a Rectangle die to cut your layer out using a Diecutting machine(I used a Sizzix Vagabond 'cause I'm lazy-lol)...after I had my Rectangle cut, I Ink blended the edges with Vintage photo Oxide ink

I chose to use Stardream Antique Gold Metallic Card stock as a card base-and for flower layers later in this tutorial...

I used a Scallop Rectangle die from Jaded Blossom to cut my Gold Glitter paper base layer...

I made another background using more green Oxide inks using the same technique as above minus the ink blended base...I just used the smooshing technique...

I cut leave dies from the green using Jaded Blossom Flower and Fall dies...

I then cut my Flower dies out of Stardream Metallic Antique gold card stock and I cut the Glitter flowers out of the center of my Glitter Scalloped Rectangle(why waste the paper-no one will know!!)

  Now that I have everything ready, I lay out all my stuff to see if it will all work for me...

I then thought all I'm missing is a frame in the center of my Oxide background to pull the eye...so I used my Rectangle dies from Jaded Blossom and cut myself a frame...

Now that I'm happy with the layout...I choose my sentiment...I chose "You are Amazing" from Jaded Blossom's Encouragement stamp set and placed it on my card mock up to choose the placement...

I then grabbed my handy dandy Misti stamping tool...I did this because stamping on Water color card stock can be tricky due to the texture...I used my EK success powder tool first, to avoid sticking and stamped my sentiment in Versamark ink...I then applied my Detail Gold embossing powder from Ranger and then melted it with my Marvy Heat gun...Now I stuck everything down using Cut Cardstock's Glue Tape runner...I did use foam tape to pop up my flowers and and some of my leaves for some dimension...come to think of it...I applied foam tape to my Oxide background too...

I then applied a few Cartwright's Moonshine sequins and lastly some Nuvo Bright Gold Crystal Drops...all done! YAY!!!

1. Cut card Stock-Glitter Paper-Gold, Stardream Metallic Antique Gold card stock, Glue tape runner, Classic linen card stock applied to the interior of the card as a writing surface

Do you ever feel the need to impress your friends with the cards you send? I do-I keep feeling the need to one up my last card-this insanity must end-lol!! This is why I chose to share a box card today-they never fail to impress the non crafters out there. I also find that they are super easy to create with a bunch of dies and FABULOUS card stock from Cut Card Stock. Using this particular die to make a box card was an idea that my friend Cindy Beland (from the Jaded Blossom design team) came up with. Thanks for stopping by...Lee-Ann

Tutorial

*choose your supplies-cardstock and adhesive

*choose your die and cut your white card stock base 2 times using Basis white card stock...this is the Jaded Blossom Scallop Caddy die which actually creates a box...so as a result I cut the bottom of the box off following the score lines...fold on the score lines leaving one back scalloped side unfolded and adhere the side tabs to each piece.

*Then cut a piece of white Basis 110 lb cover stock into a 1x4" strip. Score in from each side approximately 1/4" using a Martha Stewart Score Board...now adhere the folded edges to the inside of your little box that you've created-place the glued tabs or folds opposite so the box card will fold flat.

**Now get ready to decorate the heck out of this cute box...I grabbed all my dies and started die cutting...first I die cut the layer of the Scallop Caddy Dies out of Stardream Metallic aquamarine card stock and applied one as the background of my card and then cut the other one in half and applied the square bottom piece to the from bottom layer of the box...then I glued the flap over it...then I applied the Scallop top half piece to the folded scallop flap. I then cut the Coral Metallic cardstock with the bow die and a border die strip and applied it to the edge of the flap to give a finished look.

**I then wanted to have some elements to appear like they are floating...so I grabbed my Ric Rac Topper die and cut it out of acetate and sandwiched this over my strip in the center of my box card...this left me with the arched handle to apply pieces to...I also cut a 1/2" acetate strip 4" long to apply to the acetate handle so I could get a little height from my die cuts

**I then cut a rabbit using the a Jaded Blossom rabbit die with Basis Cover card stock in brown(chocolate bunny!!)

**I also cut some eggs from the Stardream Metallic card stock in coral, lapis lazuli and rose quartz

**Then some grass out of White Basis 110 lb cover stock...I trimmed this to fit inside my box

**I coloured the white card stock with a Spectrum Noir CG1 marker

**oops-can't forget my butterflies-this one was in Stardream Metallic rose quartz

***I quickly adhered my eggs onto my sky portion of the box card, then adhered my grass just behind my bow on the inside front of the card box...the next added my bunny to the inside on top of the grass piece so it looks as if he's sitting in the grass...added a jaunty blue bow cut out of the aqua marine Stardream Metallic card stock...I then glued my butterflies to the acetate arch...so they sppear to be floating-YAY! They are cut from Rose Quartz and Coral Stardream Metallic card stock

**I chose to heat emboss my sentiment with my Marvy Heat gun after using my EK Success powder tool then stamping my sentiment with Versamark ink

**I added a white daisy to the bow front that I cut from Basis white cover stock...Construction is finished...I jazzed things up with Nuvo Crystal drops. This card folds flat for mailing which is so fun!!!

Praying for you...

Hi everyone...I decided to share Sympathy cards today...I know for me...whenever I need one-I am in no mood for crafting. So as a result, I like to have these on hand for the horrible occasions when I need one. I like to keep Sympathy cards clean and simple...I tend to make Religious and Non Religious...depending on the recipient...today I made 2 Religious ones. I LOVE metallic card stock...just a little bit of glitz...I think it adds some glamour to the card without being over the top. Today I used Stardream Metallic Card stock in Opal and Basis White Cover card stock 110lb...both available at Cut Card Stock.com along with their Plus TG Glue tape and Gansai Tambi 36 water colors. I have a picture tutorial below showing all the steps to make these cards...and I also have a recipe at the end that you can check out. -Chose my products

 -Cut my Basis white card stock in half lengthwise (4.25"x 11") to create 2 A2 portrait card bases

-Scored each card base at 5.5"

-Chose some dies from Jaded Blossom

-Cut the dies using my Sizzix Vagabond

-I love to use a lot of layers to add depth and dimension to cards

-I then chose my stamp set and used a Misti tool to stamp with Versamark on the Basis white card stock-after first using my EK Success powder tool to avoid the static that causes the Embossing powder to stick where you don't want it

-I used my Marvy heat gun to melt the embossing powder until it's all melted

-Gorgeous and elegant...I love how pretty heat embossing turns out!

-I then added some gold splatter using the Gold Gansai Tambi water color pan

-Chose my die and cut out more Stardream Metallic Opal card stock to heat emboss my sentiment on...

-Added 3M foam tape to the back of the Scallop Rectangle and to the back of my Cross die and my Sentiment dies for some dimension

-Lastly I added my punched out flowers with foam tape and then added Nuvo Crystal drops to the center of each using pale gold
