Guest Designer at Inking it up Crazy

I'm really honoured to be the guest designer today at Inking it up Crazy. Today I used Echo Park paper...you just can't go wrong with it. It's bright and cheerful...pretty...love it!!  I actually had a hard time choosing which line to use...there are so many lines that I love from Echo Park. I decided to go with the most recently purchased...it's always fun to use new paper!! I also used my new Cricut cart-Elegant Edges. I just love this cart...I think it totally replaces Nestabilities...so many choices for great frames, edges and matts. I decided to break out the cart my parents bought for me...Kate's ABC's. This one has such pretty cuts that you could use for just about any card or layout. I chose to cut this wagon, as I thought that I could use it for any celebration...Birthday, Mother's Day or just a Congratulations card. I love making cards like this and leaving the sentiment inside blank...so I can add it later, as the occasion demands.

Cricut Circle Magazine-Make it your way-Challenge

The Cricut Circle Magazine Challenge was to "Make it your way". The idea was to be inspired by one of their designers and...Make it your way. The rules were to use 3 Cricut cuts and an idea from the magazine. I was inspired by Crystal Hobbs. Her "hello friend" card on page 42 spoke to me. I've never made a stamp shaped card and I love the paper she chose. I decided to make the stamp shaped card from the cart Birthday Bash and I chose a similar line of paper by My Mind's eye-Stella Rose-Mabel. Love how this one turned out!!!!! In fact...I'll be using this card cut again.

Recipe:
  • Stella Rose-My Mind's Eye-Mabel line of paper
  • kraft cardstock
  • twine

  • CTMH-cocoa ink

The owl was cut from Hoot 'n' Holler at 2.75". The blue flower was cut from Accent Essentials at 1.5". The base card was cut from Birthday Bash pg.31 at 5". The layered shapes on the front were cut from Elegant Edges pg.38 at 3.94"...using the Gypsy to make sure that they would fit perfectly inside the stamp card base. Too cute!!

Cricut Circle Magazine-Imaginisce Challenge

I made this card for the Circle Magazine, Imaginisce Challenge. The rules included-3 Imaginisce products and 4 Cricut cuts. I believe this card meets all the requirements. It's hard to make a card and then have to use certain things...I'm a fly by the seat of my pants girl. I think it turned out kinda cute. This is the first time I used the Imaginisce Petal roller and Roly Rosies paper. It went really well...love the little flower on my card. Also the first time I used a card shape from the cart A Child's Year...I'm going to use these again...so many to choose from. Lastly...this is the first time I've cut this adorable popsicle from the cart Smiley Carts...too cute!!
