The Pink Stamper Challenge #2

I made this card for The Pink Stamper National Scrapbooking Challenge #2. The rules said to use kraft cardstock...I love kraft cardstock...especially with this line of paper. It goes so well...what do you think? I had to make a tree to go with the paper as my image...and then I just had to use one of Robin's Punny sentiments...I love this one! I also had to put a bow in the tree's...hair...it's a girl tree..

  • Core'dinations cardstock-french roast

    Swimming by to say hi!

I made this card for my bro-in-law for Father's Day. He and his wife had a lot of trouble getting pregnant. After a long time of wishing...they got pregnant...and at the age of 50...he is the proud father of my 2 year old nephew Aleksis. He's a perfectly healthy little guy and my bro-in-law couldn't be happier. The rest of the family is also thrilled. Everyday is a celebration with little Aleksis. As a result I try not to miss sending them cards fro Mother's Day and Father's Day. I decided to go punny on this card...gotta love a good pun!

    Housework never killed anybody...

I made this card for my gal pal Lori. She is totally one of the busiest people I know. 2 jobs, 3 girls in competetive dancing, runs her camp association, on the ballet board and if that's not enough sews most of the costumes for the dance troop. She's one of those crazy people that can't say no, she's also one of the nicest people I know. She has a Hubby that also works...but she does all the cooking and the cleaning...yikes! That is why I made her this card. She is so busy, that housework just isn't a priority. That's why this sentiment is so funny!

    Recipe:
    • Bazzill-wild pansy, white, kachina, blue calypso
    • Bo Bunny double dot-island mist, ocean dot
    • Recollections-paper Rockets 'n' sprockets, brads
    • EK Success edge punch and corner punch
    • circle punches
    • CTMH-lagoon ink, sentiment inside card
    • Amy R stamp-sentiment card front
    • Cricut cart- Robotz
    • Action Wobbles (love these)

    You're the best!

Another Father's Day card bites the dust!! I made this one for my Dad...AKA Gramps. When I was a teen...I was always mortified by the  vehicles my father drove. He wore a tie to work every day and came home to immediately change into grimey overalls and hit the  garage. He loved to work on cars or trucks. He used to fix them up and drive them. As a teen I always used to die if he chose to drive me in one of these old...partially finnished vehicles. I used to say...PLEASE Dad...drop me off on the corner...I'll walk the rest of the way. One time he insisted on dropping me off...right in front of the Highschool. The truck back fired...everybody looked as I slunk out of the truck. Now when I think about it...I laugh...I was so self centered...only caring how other teens saw me. If only we had adult brains when we had our teen aged bodies. Maybe cheezies, a coke and a persian wouldn't have been my fav choice for lunch every day. Some things just aren't important. This truck cut reminded me of that old truck...although that truck was red and rusted and partially bongoed(filled)...yikes!

ps-a persian is a cinnimon swirled donut with pink icing...invented and can only be purchased in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada. The persian makes up for our cold, snow filled winters.
