Mother's Day card 2011

I made this one for my Mom-in-law for Mother's Day. I love how it turned out...pretty and springy...is that a word? I got to use a new cartridge again...yeah me! I always feel that if I use the cartridge even once...it's totally worth it...at least that's what I tell myself. It's a beautiful sunny day here...thank God. We had some snow the other day...I know...it's supposed to be spring...but in Thunder Bay, you never can tell when that last snow will fall.

Recipe:
  • Bazzill-expresso
  • My Mind's Eye-Stella & Rose "Gertie" paper pack
  • Stampin' Up ribbon and sentiment stamp on card front
  • CTMH-Cocoa ink and sentiment stamp inside card
  • Martha Stewart edge punch
  • Paper Shapers corner punch
  • Cricut cartridge- Kate's ABC's
The card base is 4x6". The butterfly is cut at 1-1/4" and the watering can is cut at 4". Layered the images with pop dots...I can't scrap without them.

Oh what a cheerful card! I love how the flowers peek over the top. I'm sure this will be very well recieved and treasured.
It's normally us Brits who fixate on the weather but we have had beautiful sunny days this last two weeks. Hope the sun stays shining for you over the weekend. Have fun!
